The Master of Science in Innovation and Entrepreneurship (MSIE) program proudly offers Startup Launch courses to students from any degree program at UT Dallas. Instructor permission is required to enroll. Students with scalable business ideas are encouraged to apply for funding opportunities through initiatives such as the Big Idea competition to support the validation and development of their ventures.
How Startup Launch Works:
The MSIE Startup Launch Class offers an exclusive opportunity for select entrepreneurs to accelerate their innovative business ventures within the Master of Science in Innovation and Entrepreneurship degree program. This course provides the platform for aspiring entrepreneurs to advance their startups while earning academic credit toward their degree.
Students or student teams accepted into the Startup Launch class receive continuous guidance and mentorship from UT Dallas faculty and experienced entrepreneurs. The class is designed to be completed within a semester, and students are expected to make significant progress toward launching their businesses during the program or shortly after graduation.
Enrollment in the MSIE Startup Launch class is highly competitive. In addition to admission into the MSIE program, applicants must submit a business concept proposal and participate in faculty interviews. Accepted students are expected to demonstrate a strong commitment to successfully launching their venture.
