STEM and Double Degrees - MS in Innovation & Entrepreneurship

STEM — science, technology, engineering and math — courses keep you up-to-date with the latest advances in science and technology. Demonstrating these skills to employers can help you create a flexible and versatile career path and can open doors to highly-compensated, in-demand jobs.

The Master’s in Innovation and Entrepreneurship offers STEM courses as part of its curriculum . You may also choose pursue a second master’s or MBA degree at the same time as your Master’s in I&E, which could add a STEM- or non-STEM-designated master’s to your résumé.

STEM Courses

Entrepreneurship courses that are offered in STEM degree programs are considered STEM courses. These include:

ENTP 6375 (cross-listed with SYSM, OPRE, and ITM)
ENTP 6388 (cross-listed with SYSM)
ENTP 6398 (cross-listed with SYSM)

Double Degree Programs and MS Degree Combinations

The versatility of the MSIE degree helps students pursue double graduate business degrees or MS degree combinations if desired. Students wanting a STEM degree may wish to consider pairing the MS IE (non-STEM) degree with a MS STEM program to support three years of study at UT Dallas.

The double degree program provides an opportunity for you to potentially share coursework between the two degrees. To enter a double degree program and take advantage of possible time and tuition benefits, students must apply to and be accepted by both programs.
