Internship and Mentoring – BS in Business Administration

Yobouesseth Okou (senior, business administration) with friends at a UT Dallas event

Guidance from a mentor during your business administration internship.

All Jindal School undergraduates must complete an internship to graduate, and our business administration majors get advice and counsel along the way.

As part of the internship requirement, our students are asked to identify and work with a mentor from either the firm where the student is interning or through Comets Community. The requirement gives students the opportunity to benefit from the guidance and advice of a mentor and to learn more about what mentoring is, and what it is not.

Operations Planning and Analysis Summer Intern, H-E-B

A university’s business college is only as great as its professors, students, staff and alumni community. Fortunately, as a student pursuing my BS in Business Administration degree with a concentration in business economics, I’ve had the opportunity to learn from knowledgeable and experienced professors who have brought academic theory into the real global-world of business.

Current student

During my freshman year at The University of Texas at Dallas, I found the BSBA program to be integral to my success. Not only did I learn a lot about the business world and what I have to look forward to in my career path, but I also learned a lot about myself. Through various self-evaluations and the opportunity to listen to professors from several departments of the business school, I discovered where my interests in the field of business lie and what I can do to improve myself to reach my professional goals.
