Upon graduating from my undergraduate program, I really questioned whether or not I was going to be driven to get up and go to work every day with the career path I was following. I knew I had a strong passion for helping others, which definitely sounds cliche, but it was always something I would get excited about. Upon graduation, I approached one of my professors with my dilemma, and he introduced me to ‘the business of healthcare.’ I have been hooked ever since!
I genuinely believe that utilizing concrete examples from volunteering experiences and other minor healthcare jobs in my interviews allowed me to obtain my dream internship. Start small by volunteering at some healthcare provider in your community, build meaningful relationships, and you will be on your way to bigger things from there!
