Management Intern, H-E-B

The BS in Human Resource Management (HRM) program at UT Dallas introduced me to a field of passionate professionals who want to make the workplace better. As a student, I was encouraged to consider what “better” could look like. The HRM course mix gave me a solid foundation of field-related knowledge that I found both relevant and applicable during my multiple internships.

The Society for Human Resource Management student chapter offered me additional opportunities for leadership, networking and development through regional and national conferences.

Now a graduate of the HRM program, I am confident I made the right decision coming to UT Dallas. I made lifelong friends who I hope to call future co-workers. I learned how to think critically about challenges facing employees, which inspired me to pursue my master’s. Having a degree in HR has already helped me stand out to employers, and I’m sure it will continue to do so.
