Operations Planning and Analysis Summer Intern, H-E-B
A university’s business college is only as great as its professors, students, staff and alumni community. Fortunately, as a student pursuing my BS in Business Administration degree with a concentration in business economics, I’ve had the opportunity to learn from knowledgeable and experienced professors who have brought academic theory into the real global-world of business.
Furthermore, I’ve had the privilege to work with fellow BSBA and other JSOM students in a variety of both academic and innovative student-group case competitions.
In addition to this, I’ve acquired new skills while enhancing previous strengths through the coursework and finance internship I’ve completed as an undergrad.
Overall, I feel I’ve received beneficial guidance from professors, peers, advisors and alumni. Upon graduation, I look forward to being part of the UT Dallas alumni community and starting my career in an analyst, research, business development or compliance role.
An empowering academic program provides students with opportunities and encouragement to expand their knowledge and skills well beyond graduation. I was delighted to learn that the BSBA program has a Business Economics Concentration; the courses I’ve taken have dramatically increased my analytical abilities while growing my comprehensive economic understanding of the global economy. Fortunately, I’ve been able to take courses taught by professors who had years of private-sector experience in energy, coffee trading, business law, international finance and many more industries.
Overall, I’ve been able to apply myself in a meaningful way that has resulted in helping achieve my career aspirations, develop long-term professional relationships and have a positive impact on society.
