The UT Dallas
BS in Human Resource Management
degree program has provided me with a foundation to start my dream
career in human resources. Not only did this program provide meaningful
and relevant coursework, but it also gave me leadership opportunities,
mentors and the ability to network with HR leaders around Dallas. While
being involved in this program, I had the opportunity to become an
officer in the
student chapter of the Society for Human Resource
Management
. I am beyond grateful for the best years growing within this
organization and as an HRM student. Both the HRM degree and SHRM at UT
Dallas provided valuable resources and knowledge that I have been able
to apply in my internships at Southwest Airlines. This SHRM national
recognized degree plan has paved the way for my future career in human
resources.

The first time I attended the HR Southwest Conference, I made a point to attend as many educational sessions as possible. Some were very beneficial in giving real-world information about certain subjects such as upcoming laws related to employment and relevant changes in legislation.
