The MS in International Management Studies does not admit part-time students.

Our MS in International Management Studies students come from a variety of backgrounds and choose to pursue diverse career paths. Some of our students come to the program with aspirations of launching careers at multinational companies, consulting firms, international institutions and non-governmental organizations. Some of our students learn how to create market entry strategies to help their (or their families’) small and medium size enterprises expand into other markets. There are others who use this degree to build a different skillset and launch a new career in the United States or overseas.

International experiences are not required to complete the program. However, we recommend that our students participate in at least one international experience to broaden their skillset, visit new places, develop their global network and build their résumés. Upon return from their first international experience our students look forward to traveling again and typically do so before graduation. Our graduate students have been part of faculty-led trips, summer sustainability programs and international internships.

In today’s global business environment companies are looking for students who can understand cultural and regulatory challenges when working with their overseas partners or clients. Through their international experiences our students can build a unique skillset to recognize international challenges and opportunities.

Our graduate program builds on your Bachelor of Science in Global Business foundation and uses case study methods to advance your knowledge in international management and global business. BS in Global Business students who continued into the MS in International Management Studies degree receive additional exposure to global strategy decisions at international companies. They also engaged in international experiences through faculty-led trips, international sustainability projects and international internships.
