Frequently Asked Questions

The Elite Healthcare Leaders Program (EHLP) is designed for graduate healthcare leadership management students who aspire to be dynamic leaders in healthcare. The club is designed to recognize student leaders and give them an edge academically and professionally. As a member of the EHLP, you will support your fellow graduate students as well as undergraduates in the healthcare management program.

The EHLP is for graduate students learning in healthcare leadership and management courses who are interested in becoming student leaders, tutoring healthcare management students (undergraduate and graduate), preparing for top internship opportunities, learning from academic and professional mentoring, and participating in field trips and seminars. EHLP members will be exposed to academic research related to the healthcare space. EHLP members will be held to a high standard as they will represent the UT Dallas healthcare leadership and management program both on and off campus, and after they leave UT Dallas and enter the business community. We imagine EHLP members to “give back” to the University as active alumni.

Time tracking is not involved; no academic credit will be given. Commitments involve challenging yourself, mentoring undergraduates and fellow graduate students, networking, attending club sponsored lectures and events, joining in seminars, promoting events, representing Healthcare Management at the university, and deciding on speakers for events.

Please see the Eligibility Requirements tab on this page for all requirements. There are no dues required to join, unless otherwise approved by the executive board.

EHLP members must:

  • Maintain GPA requirements.
  • Adhere to and remain in good standing with the UT Dallas Student Code of Conduct.
  • Comply with EHLP requirements outlined in the above FAQs.

Applications for EHLP are accepted each Fall/Spring semester.
