The Risk Management & Insurance Concentration is available for the Bachelor’s in Business Administration, Finance or Global Business degree.

If you have people skills and enjoy both analytical thinking and problem solving, a BSBA degree with a concentration in risk management and insurance can lead to exciting career opportunities as a highly sought after RMI professional. Graduates in risk management and insurance find a variety of career opportunities across the business community and in government. Top careers include risk analysts, risk managers, underwriters, claims professionals, agents or brokers, risk consultants, risk control and/or safety professionals and more. National examination waivers are available at no cost for portions of the Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU®); Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC®) and Certified Risk Manager (CRM®) professional designations.

Curriculum – Actuarial Science Majors

Students pursuing a career in actuarial sciences should enhance their BS in Actuarial Science degree with a greater understanding of the risk management & insurance professional field through elective courses in the Risk Management & Insurance Concentration. Actuaries work closely with underwriters, risk control, claims, marketing, auditing, information systems, brokers and other major disciplines in the field.
